Our Mission
Convinced that no one should live and die without hearing God’s good news, we believe that he has called us to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ in communities where he is least known.
About Faithful Witness
The Faithful Witness initiative exists to launch multi-skilled, multi-ethnic teams in communities around the world with limited or no access to the gospel.
These forgotten communities are our focus, because we believe no one should live and die without having access to the good news of Jesus Christ.
About our teams
Faithful Witness teams are multi-ethnic. No single language or culture can adequately express who Jesus is. A trustworthy expression of the gospel is a multicultural perspective of Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection. Together, the global church forms a whole. We value this wholeness and expect our teams to reflect it.
Our nine existing teams include workers sent from 22 different nations, all serving as a unified expression of the good news that “Christ himself has brought us peace.” (Eph 2:14).
This unity in diversity is an important aspect of the gospel itself. In Christ, we are reconciled to each other across cultural, social, economic, linguistic, and geographic barriers.
About Our Name
Our name, Faithful Witness in Forgotten Communities, is taken from the greeting in the first chapter of Revelation, the last book of the Bible.
Grace and peace to you from the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come … Jesus Christ. He is the faithful witness, the first to rise from the dead, and the ruler of all the kings of the world.
Revelation 1:5 (NLT)
Faithful witness is singular because we are singularly focused on making Jesus known in communities that don’t yet know him. Our vision is to see faithful witnesses (plural) from every tribe, language, people, and nation worshipping Jesus.
