About South Asia
We serve a community of nearly 8 million people who are stretched across a desert region of South Asia. Several cities in the region attract thousands of international tourists each year and the community we serve are traditionally businessmen who know how to capitalize on the rich natural and cultural resources available to them. Local students can choose from multiple high-profile universities, setting them up for a promising career.
However, under the veneer of successful economic advancement lies the oppressive spiritual reality. This community is less than .02% Christian and access to the Gospel is limited. Local religious practices include idol worship, strict dietary practices, and the appeasement of evil spirits. State laws make it risky to share the Gospel and community pressures promise isolation and abuse if someone chooses to follow Jesus.
About The Team
The team is made up of workers from East Asia and the United States, all convinced that God has put them in the desert to help bring Living Water into the region. The various skills and experiences each member brings allow for strong teamwork and the complimenting of one another’s strengths.
Ministry here is done through deep, mutual relationships built through language learning, running an IT business, and offering baking classes. Relationships are built slowly through faithfully being part of the lives of friends, praying with them about family concerns, and living lives of love, peace, and hope that invite curiosity and questions.
Vision
To see an overflow of Christ’s Living Water transforming this desert community.
